Girl’s Night Out at Brewhouse Tavern in Newport News

The holidays are in full swing!  Now that it’s Black Friday, it seems like the inevitable rush towards Christmas is beginning.  Not until January will you be able to pull up to any shopping center anywhere and find an easily accessible parking spot and, when you leave after having completed your errands, cars will follow you, trying to take your less-than-perfect spot the moment you pull free.  (This behavior always makes me feel incredibly paranoid and continually glance over my shoulder.)  All the radio stations are playing Christmas music, and the TV stations have started to follow suit.  You can hardly flip through the stations without seeing “It’s a Wonderful Life,” and one of the many versions of “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.”  There are twinkle lights gleaming in store windows, Christmas trees and candles peeking through the windows in neighborhoods.

We’re all really, really busy.  Between getting everything finished up at work to prepare for having those few, beautiful days off, finishing up the holiday shopping, taking the kids to and from their assorted activities, wrapping presents, grocery shopping, meal planning, traveling, preparing for and hosting assorted relatives, finding the perfect tacky Christmas sweater, attending church services, baking the traditional holiday cookies, and everything else that the holiday season brings, we’re really, really busy.  It’s wonderful, but it’s exhausting, and there’s not a whole lot of time left for anything that’s not holiday related.

Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, or something else, you’re busy.  You’re celebrating.  It takes a lot of time and, frankly, until the new year, there’s not a whole lot else that you’re going to be doing.

That’s why our next Girl’s Night Out event is going to be on January 14th.  We heard from several other women that they were just totally swamped with the holiday season, and we didn’t want to add one more thing.  We planned to wait until after the holidays, when everyone would certainly need a girl’s only night out.

On January 14th, from 6-8pm, we’re going to be in Newport News at the Brickhouse Tavern in Port Warwick.  It’s going to be a low-key, relaxed, pizza and beer kind of night.

Our Girl’s Night Out events have been such a success, and we’re excited to keep it going into 2015.  Hopefully, you’ll be able to make it on January 14th!  For more information, or to pre-register to attend now, just click here.  We’ll also send you a couple emails with more follow up information as the date gets closer.  Not only that, but you’ll never miss notification about another Girl’s Night Out again!

If you’ve already attended one of our events before, you’re also eligible to join our private Facebook community at gnohr.com.  You’ll have to request to join and, once you’re admitted, you’ll be able to see information about our up and coming events, chat with other attendees in between events (some even make plans to go do things in between), and see the pics from all of our prior events!  You can add photos, plan events, and let us know what you’re up to, too.  It’s a great community, and we’d love to have you join.  (You do have to attend an event before you’ll be confirmed, though, just so we know who you are and feel like we’re doing our best to protect everyone’s privacy.)

Anyway, like I said: we’ll be at the Brewhouse Tavern on January 14th from 6-8pm.  That’s in Newport News, because our attorney, Shannon Lemm, practices exclusively on the Peninsula, and we want to be sure we’re supporting her, her clients, and her other local area connections.  Luckily for us, the traffic is not bad at all in the winter (why is it so much worse in the summer?), so everyone should be able to pop on over the bridge and through the tunnel with very little trouble.  Come as you are, stay as long as you can—bring a friend or two, too, if you’d like.  The more the merrier!

For more information give our office a call at (757) 785-9761, or just click here to pre-register.  Registration is not required, but it does help us to be able to give a head’s up to the restaurant before we get there (so we can have food ready for you).

Enjoy your holidays, and we look forward to seeing you in January!
