Earning my MBA is the next logical step towards achieving my short-term and long-term professional goals for a number of reasons. I have a background in banking and sales, and I am currently a Realtor licensed in Virginia and North Carolina. I have three beautiful little girls and am currently going through a divorce. During my marriage, raising seven children in total was my main priority and understood duty. My Real Estate career provided supplemental income… play money, if you will! Now that I am financially independent, I am striving for a reputable career path that will provide financial security and consistency for myself and my children. In the short term, earning an MBA will give me the confidence and better understanding of my Real Estate career when dealing with negotiations, closing disclosures and finance. Also, being that I plan to build my career in finance and marketing, having an MBA on my resume will hopefully get employers’ attention. Earning an MBA in regard to my long-term goals is much more personal. Being a mother of three girls, I feel it is my duty to depict self esteem and confidence, and what better way to do that than to obtain an MBA and be financially independent and secure? I strive to set good examples for my children and fulfilling a graduate program in one of the country’s best schools is a sure way to exemplify progressive achievement. A very good friend of mine just finished Willam and Mary’s online MBA program and she admitted that is was the experience of a lifetime. She told me to not walk, but run in the direction of obtaining my MBA through your program! Also, being that William and Mary has a great reputation of a Public Ivy, it will be impressive to say that I attended this program. I also have always enjoyed Williamsburg and look forward to furthering my education in a gorgeous historical environment.
