Hofheimer Family Law Mother’s Day Promo

Posted on May 2, 2016 by Katie Carter

If you’re a mom, you’ve made a lot of sacrifices for the sake of your kids. It started from the moment you found out you were pregnant, and started eating insane amounts of broccoli and discussing the benefits of folic acid to anyone who would listen. It carried through your pregnancy, to every single glass of wine, cigarette, or sugar laden dessert you turned down in order to keep your body as healthy as possible for your growing baby.
You thought you worked hard then, but then the baby came. One sleepless night bled into the next, and you found out you didn’t know how exhausted you could be and still function. You managed some shocking disasters (who knew a diaper could fill up so fast?) and celebrated some really high highs (first steps, anyone?). Throughout your child’s life, you’ve been there—making decisions, quietly, behind the scenes, and doing everything in your power to ensure that your child’s way in the world would be made a little bit easier by your presence.
You’ve worked hard, and you’ve done a great job. Because of you, your child is becoming exactly the person he was meant to be. Your sacrifices haven’t gone unnoticed!
But it certainly hasn’t been easy. If you’re facing an upcoming divorce or custody case, you’re probably feeling a little extra anxious and upset. Even though you know you’re a good mom, and you’ve worked tirelessly to give your kid the childhood he deserves, there’s something about a court case for custody, visitation, and support that strikes fear into any mom’s heart.
If you’re preparing for an upcoming divorce or custody case, though, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to move forward without information. In fact, that’s what we do—we represent women only in divorce and custody cases, and we have lots of free and low cost resources that will help you get a handle on custody law in Virginia so that you can begin to make big decisions about your case and how to move forward.
This Mother’s Day, though, we’re also offering a couple of extra promotions that you should probably be aware of. Who knows? Maybe one of these is exactly what you need to get started. How can we help?

1. Get a fast, free download of our custody book.

You can request a copy of our custody book at WomensCustodySurvivalGuide.com. It’s a quick read, but it’s stuffed with tons of custody-specific information, and can help you begin to understand Virginia law and how it operates in both the juvenile and circuit courts. Written by Kristen Hofheimer, it’s a great resource (and an important starting point) for moms unfamiliar with Virginia custody law and the local courts.

2. Free admission to any May Second Saturday or Third Tuesday Divorce seminar on What Every Virginia Woman Needs to Know About Divorce. ($50 value)

Custody can stand on it’s own, but it can also come along as part of a divorce action. If you’re married to your child’s father, you need more than information about custody in Virginia, and our divorce seminar is a great place to start. Each of our divorce seminars covers important topics in Virginia divorce, including the types of divorce, how custody, child and spousal support, and equitable distribution work, when you’re separated, and more. Each seminar is taught by one of our licensed and experienced Virginia divorce and custody attorneys, all of whom have experience handling custody cases and will be available to answer questions (for less than the cost of a consultation).
The seminar is offered three times a month: twice on the Second Saturday of the month in Virginia Beach and Newport News, and once on the Third Tuesday of the month in Virginia Beach. To register, visit our website at MonthlyDivorceSeminar.com, and use the promo code “MothersDay2016”.

3. Reduced consultation fee on May 9, 2016. ($135 savings)

For one day, May 9th, Hofheimer Family Law will be offering initial consultations for Virginia moms at a significantly reduced rate. Normally $285, on May 9th, consultations will be reduced to $150. It’s an opportunity to have a one-on-one conversation with a local Virginia attorney, including the chance to strategize how to begin to move your case forward.
What happens in an initial consultation? It’s a great place to learn about your rights, what you may be entitled to, and calculate child support. You can ask the questions that are keeping you lying awake at night, and begin to strategize for how you plan to move your case forward.
