Divorce Coaching

Support through your divorce

Are you navigating a family law case and feeling overwhelmed?

A Divorce Coach can be one of the best investments you make in the divorce process.

You’re only human, and what you’re going through feels impossible. You’re working with an attorney, but … it’s not enough. You are going through a lot, the demands from your soon-to-be ex (or his attorney) feel endless, and you’re struggling to cope. What can you do, today, so that you can sleep better, heal faster, and deal most effectively with your case?

At our divorce coaching sessions, you will:

  • Learn critical coping strategies for navigating a divorce or child custody case;
  • Understand important communication methods for dealing with even the most frustrating former spouse;
  • Connect with a community of other women who are in a similar place in their own lives;
  • Learn directly from licensed psychologist and experienced divorce coach, Leah Nathan.

Why do we provide free divorce coaching to our clients?

Resolving your legal issues is just one facet of your recovery during a separation, divorce, or a child custody case.  Learning specific tools and strategies to navigate what you’re experiencing, whether it’s a high conflict case, post-separation abuse, coercive control, or something else entirely, will help you navigate your life (and your case) better.  Divorce coaching sessions are completely free and our gift to you, as a Hofheimer Family Law Firm client.

Is divorce coaching right for me?

You don’t have to participate in divorce coaching but what do you have to lose?  If you’re struggling to sleep, dealing with anxiety or depression, or just plain looking for more reassurance than your attorney alone can provide, divorce coaching is a great place to start.  Each month will feature a topic, specifically selected by Coach Leah Nathan, to address the specific concerns and fears we are addressing in our practice – in real time.

In our divorce coaching sessions, we cover topics like:

  • How to navigate different coparenting styles;
  • How to practice self-care (and, no – not by getting a massage or a manicure) during contentious litigation;
  • Setting effective boundaries with your soon-to-be ex husband;
  • Dealing with grief and trauma around a divorce, separation, or child custody case;
  • How to address the feelings of betrayal associated with infidelity, abuse, and financial control;
  • How to work effectively WITH your attorney through the case (while keeping your ultimate goal of healing in mind);
  • How to recognize narcissism, narcissistic traits, and other specific behaviors that make every interaction with your soon-to-be ex (or your child’s father) feel like a minefield;
  • Preparing for specific parts of the legal process, like mediation or settlement conferences, even when tensions are high.
