Behavioral Signs Your Husband Is Cheating

Posted on Mar 19, 2010 by Hofheimer Family Law

There are some obvious behavioral changes to look for in trying to determine if your husband is cheating on you. Some of them may include:

  • Loss of interest in sex, or a sudden increase in sex drive
  • Change in grooming habits
  • Personality changes (suddenly hot-tempered, moody or lost in his thoughts)
  • He takes his computer or phone with him to remote places (such as the bathroom or the garage)
  • Becomes more secretive
  • Spends more time alone or outside the home
  • Takes on more work hours

These are just some of the behavioral signs that may indicate your spouse has committed adultery. Remember, these serve as nothing more than signs that may back up your suspicions, but they are not proof. In order to file for a Virginia divorce on the grounds of adultery, you’ll need to provide physical evidence.

Gathering evidence will not only help you with any possible future divorce proceedings but will also give you the assurance of knowing the truth. Almost worse than finally learning the truth is making assumptions and filing for divorce without ever really knowing if any adultery took place at all. If you can look for the signs and collect the evidence, then you can decide what the next step is for your marriage.
