October Girl’s Night Out at Amplitude Karaoke

Posted on Aug 23, 2017 by Katie Carter

Just a week or so ago, a really large group of us gathered together on the top deck at the Ocean View Fishing Pier in Ocean View, Norfolk.  It’s such a cool venue (if you haven’t been there, you really should go!) and we always have a really good turnout.  Maybe it’s the time of year, or maybe it’s just that everybody loves orange crushes, but it’s always super fun.  It’s like a little mid-week vacation.  If you couldn’t make it this time, we hope you’ll meet up with us next time—we’ll definitely be back at the Ocean View Fishing Pier next year, but we’re also planning something awesome really soon!

On Wednesday, October 11th, we’re going back to Amplitude Karaoke!  We went last year, and it was seriously one of the best events we’ve ever had!  I didn’t think I was a huge fan of karaoke (in fact, I swore I’d sit in the back the entire time), but I found myself singing up at the front of the bar with the rest of them!  (And having a fantastic time!)  We had a really big group, and it was nonstop fun.  Who knew we had so many performers?  Oh my gosh, so, so, so much fun.

If you’re like me (or like I thought I was) and are determined not to sing, that’s totally fine.  We promise we won’t make you.  Or make you feel bad about not wanting to.  Come anyway.

If you’re not like me and you love to sing and can’t wait to perform (or you’ve already started mentally cataloguing your possible solo options), you should DEFINITELY make plans to attend!

Amplitude is located in Virginia Beach in Town Center, and it’s tons of fun.  There’s  a main bar, but you can also reserve private rooms for your group, so you don’t necessarily have to sing in front of a huge crowd of strangers.  Of course, last year, we reserved a private room—and most everybody ended up singing in the main bar anyway! For more information, or to go ahead and register to come (we’d love to have you!), click here.   To see who else is a part of our group, to start up a conversation with our other group members, or to see pictures from our past events, join our private Facebook group at gnohr.com.

We hope to see you at Amplitude on October 11th!
