Last month, we met a group of women at Sonoma Wine Bar and Bistro in Virginia Beach’s trendy Town Center area for Girl’s Night Out. We had a great turnout, with tons of current and former clients, some mental health professionals, financial professionals, artists, writers, parenting seminar coordinators, marketing gurus, mortgage lenders, Mary Kay consultants, local women entrepreneurs, and, of course, a couple attorneys and paralegals. There were a LOT of women!
It’s always so exciting to get to talk to other women about what they do from 9-5. I always walk away feeling like I’ve learned so much about something (like mortgages, for example) that I really didn’t know much about before. It’s such a great opportunity to meet other local women to socialize and network. You never know when you’re going to meet the person who is going to turn your life around, whether personally or professionally. Smart girls always take the opportunities that are presented!
I’m always happy to hear how much everyone loves these events! We take a lot of trouble to carefully plan each one, and we’re always very eagerly looking forward to the next one. Now that we’ve got a pretty loyal group of followers, it’s exciting to get to catch up each month or so and see what everyone has been up to. And, of course, meeting new friends is nice, too!
Our next event is coming up soon, so I hope you’ll register! We’re going to be at the Norfolk Tap Room (not the Taphouse!) on Granby Street in Downtown Norfolk on Tuesday, August 5th from 6-8pm. We’ve arranged for some appetizers and free drinks for the group, so we’re sure to have a great time. Feel free to bring your business cards and your best friend or your sister (or any other lady friend who would like to spend some time with a few other awesome women on a Wednesday night) for a super fun night.
To register online for the event (to help us plan for how much food and drinks we’ll need), please visit our website by clicking here. Just fill in your first and last name, email address, and phone number, and then we will send you a confirmation email letting you know that you’re officially registered to attend. If you can’t register, that’s okay—you’re always welcome to come anyway!
If you’ve attended one of our events before, you should also check out our Facebook page at gnohr.com. It’s a private group, so you’ll have to request to join the group (and you have to have already attended an event before you can join). On the site, we post about our upcoming events, post pictures from past events, and sometimes even make plans together in between events.
If you haven’t attended one of our events before, you’re really missing out! Be sure to register for the next event at the Norfolk Tap Room in centrally located Downtown Norfolk! I hope to see you there!
