For our third year running, we’re sponsoring a Girl’s Night Out event for Valentine’s Day! We actually call it our “Un-Valentine’s Day” party, because we don’t let it be all about hearts and cupids and candy but about sisterhood instead.
Do you hate Valentine’s Day? Do you love it? Either way, come celebrate Un-Valentine’s Day with us!
That’s what our Girl’s Night Out group is all about—we’ve cultivated an awesome, inspiring group of women who genuinely love each other’s company and want to provide each other with support. Whatever stage of life you’re in, you’re more than welcome. (Divorce and custody cases are absolutely NOT perquisites!)
Valentine’s Day is sort of a tricky day. Some people love it, some people think it’s a Hallmark holiday, and other people actively despise it. No matter what, it’s not a very fun day to find yourself alone on. I can tell you that, even as a happily married person! (My husband works on tug boats, so he’s often out on the boat—believe it or not, his company doesn’t care if he misses Valentine’s Day!) I’ve been single on Valentine’s Day, I’ve been married on Valentine’s Day, and I can tell you that I, personally, am totally fine so long as I have plans on Valentine’s Day. Are you anything like me?
Come to our Un Valentine’s Day Party! It’s going to be on Tuesday, February 14th (obviously!) from 6-8pm at Calliente Cantina in Virginia Beach. This is a new one for us, and we’re really excited about it. Since it is a holiday and it’s pretty special, we wanted to do something new and exciting and meaningful. And we figured—why not?
We really hope you’ll be able to come—whether you’re single, married, or somewhere in between! After all, I think Carrie Bradshaw said it best:
“Maybe our girlfriends are our soul mates, and guys are just people to have fun with.”
