- Virginia Spiderwort – Long, slender, tapering leaves give this plant a spider-like appearance with violet colored blooms that open from late spring to mid summer.
- Field Pussytoes – These foot-tall plants feature white flowers that grow up the side of flower stalk and resemble tufts of cat hair, hence the name pussytoes.
- Marsh Marigold – These bright-yellow flowering plants prefer lots of sun and lots of water so be prepared to put them in a sunny spot and water often.
- Anemone – This low-maintenance flower is one of the longest lasting spring flowers in Virginia and boasts beautiful white and baby-pink blooms.
