Girl’s Night Out: Ocean View Fishing Pier June 5, 2024

I hope you’ll join us on June 5th as we sponsor another fun-filled evening at the Ocean View Fishing Pier as part of our Girl’s Night Out event series!

You can get more information on the event or register to attend here, but I’ll give you a quick run down.

What’s Girl’s Night Out?  What’s the catch?

No catch!  No divorce or custody case required.  We just happened to notice, over time, that we heard that women felt that the divorce process was really isolating.  Maybe they didn’t have friends who had been through it before or, even worse, they found out that some of the people they had relied on to offer them support throughout the process just … didn’t.

Not only that, but money can be tight.  So, even when you have friends that you want to spend time with, it’s hard both to make the time and then to have the resources available to just spend that way.  It seems frivolous, when you have so many other worries and expenses, to go out and spend restaurant prices on drinks and food.

We felt called to use our platform to offer an event series to help our clients – though it’s not limited to our clients – network, build friendships, and just get out of the dang house for a change.

Are you going to try to sell me anything?

Nope.

I have a burning legal question.  Will there be an attorney I can ask?

Our attorneys do attend, but, in general, we use this as an opportunity be social ourselves, too.  I’m not saying that you couldn’t find the isolated attorney who wouldn’t mind answer a question, but we’re also technically “off” work and just trying to hang out, too.

Can I bring a friend?  I’m nervous to come alone.

Yes, of course!  We can totally understand how intimidating it would be to walk into a group of people without a friend along.  You’re welcome to bring her – yes, it must be a her! – along with you.  The more the merrier!  Again: no divorce or custody case is required.

I don’t have a friend to bring, but I’m still nervous.  I think I probably won’t come.

Oh, don’t be like that.  Just come!  If you’re nervous, let me know – I’ll be right there at check in – and I’ll hang out with you and introduce you around.  You’ll be fine in no time, I promise.  Everyone is super nice.

Do I need to bring money?

No – the event is totally free!  We provide a drink or two, depending on the venue, and food for the group.  If you want something different that isn’t included or drinks beyond the pre-paid number, you’re welcome to order more – but, if not, we’ve got you covered.  (Most people do not order anything beyond what we provide.)

Do I have to register?

No, but…  I’ll be honest with you.  I plan these events myself, and I live in perpetual fear of not having enough food to go around.  Though most venues work with me and can adapt quickly if I have a few more than anticipated, I don’t really want to test that theory.  It’s helpful to me (and the venue) to have a relatively accurate headcount.

That being said, don’t NOT come, if you wind up free unexpectedly, just because you didn’t register!  I am happy to scramble to get more food, if necessary.  No matter what, we’d rather have you there than not.

Anyway, like I said, there’s more information and the link to register online – so feel free to visit our website.  Need more information about upcoming seminars, events, or even free books, low cost seminars, or other resources?  Visit our website or give us a call at 757-425-5200.
