Shannon Lemm, Attorney at Law
11815 Fountain Way, Suite 300
Newport News, VA 23606
Shannon grew up in Newport News Virginia. As a child and young adult, Shannon was very active in the arts; acting, singing and dancing. Shannon attended Virginia Commonwealth University and graduated in 1991. Shortly thereafter, she had her first daughter, Taylor, and later moved to Los Angeles to realize her dreams. However, after a life altering experience, Shannon’s dreams soon changed from acting on stage and on the screen to acting in the drama loaded court room. Shannon relocated to Virginia in 1999, and later graduated from Regent University with a new baby girl, Isabella, on her hip and a juris doctorate in her hand.
Shannon is a vivacious and passionate woman raising 2 beautiful girls in the Yorktown area. She has a very large and close-knit family which she is extremely proud of. Her mother, Barbara Robertson, is Shannon’s best friend and a true red head.
Shannon is very compassionate regarding the plight of women fighting to protect their children and is devoted to helping women and children facing the challenges in a divorce and/or custody fight. After personally experiencing divorce and a child custody battle as a former client of Hofheimer Family Law Firm, she has a unique perspective in representing Women. Shannon is a tough opponent, fighting for what is just and right.
Not Throwing In The Towel
I've learned so much. The information book is like a bible for filling out all of the legal papers -- a true guide. Shannon is fantastic. I look forward to what I hear and what I learn. The other fill-ins have filled the gap nicely. The therapists are also a wonderful benefit too. Keep offering this. Many, many thanks.
Tough As Nails!
I can't say it enough, and the words don't fully express it. I am so grateful for all that the two of you have done for me. I write too much. I'm very particular about details. I talk a lot. I sometimes interrupt like that duck. Thank you both for putting up with all of my quirks and making the impossible possible.
I know that God sent me to you for a reason. Thank you for being tough as nails and fighting for me til the end. You are amazing!
A client thanks Shannon Lemm, an attorney at Hofheimer Family Law Firm, for her tenacious, deligent, and compassionate representation during her divorce.
When my ex-spouse of 21+ years informed me that he was involved with another woman and planned on leaving, I was emotionally devastated and knew that my world had changed drastically. Upon the advice of a friend, I attended Second Saturday, where Ms. Lemm provided an overview of the divorce process that armed me with the knowledge I needed. Although I interviewed several attorneys, none of them expressed the compassion as well as the knowledge that Ms. Lemm displayed.
Ms. Lemm was diligent, displayed a level of expertise in applying the law, and yet was compassionate to my plight. The phrase stated is, "it's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog." I believe that, because she represented me, the judge made a reasonable settlement decision. I believe in divine connections and know that God allowed our paths to cross at my time of greatest need. Ms. Lemm was an answer to a prayer and I highly recommend her to any woman who finds herself faced with the challenge of divorce.
